Ways to Create Great PowerPoints


Duration: 2 Hour or 4.0 Hour Options Available
Course Fee: $150/pax or $250/pax
Recommended Class Size: Min. 15 pax and Max. 40 pax for Corporate Runs.
Corporate Training: 20 pax (10% discount), 40 pax (30% discount)

Training will be held at client's office or our training venue (6 Raffles Quay, #15-00, Singapore 048580).

Course Objectives

✓ Create 2 to 4 unique layouts with PowerPoint, based on wire frames and images resource shared by the trainer.

✓ 3 key strategies to break down content on your slides

✓ Be equipped with visual theories, font type/choice and font size guidelines

✓ Be equipped with colour principles, icon and high-resolution graphic resources, FREE for commercial use.

✓ Create a professional looking slide deck for work



Course Content

1. Introduction to workshop's objectives and resources required:

(a) Visual & Colour Theory (15 min)
(b) Colour Resource: How to find & apply unique colour palettes in Microsoft PowerPoint that complements (15 min)
(c) Commercial FREE Image Resources (15 min)


2. PowerPoint Case Study: Before & After (10 min)

(a) Past Participants PowerPoint Presentation Case Study
(b) Discuss and Share Learning Points & Take Aways


3. Hands-on Practice for Participants:

(a) Create 4 layouts based on wireframes shared by trainer (20 min)
(b) Format Circles and Square Shapes with Images (20 min)
(c) Consultation with Trainer on PowerPoint Presentation (10 min)


4. Introduction to typography statistics in presentations:

(a) Typography examples and how to design with typography (5 min)
(b) Participants hands-on with typography & statistics (20 min)
(c) Consultation with Trainer on PowerPoint Presentation (10 min)


** Tea Break (15 min)

5. Introduction to Icon Resources (Infographic Resources):

(a) Icon Resource, Hexagon Colours, Recolour & Download Icons (15 min)
(b) Type of Icons & How to Choose Icons (10 min)
(c) Trainer Demo on how to improve 1 PowerPoint Presentation with Infographics, aka Icon Resource (15 min)
(d) Participants hands-on practice with Icons, and include icons with Presentation Layouts (30 min)


6. Final Q&A with Trainer (15 min)

Important Note:

Item (1) to (4) can be covered in 2 hours or 2.5 hours dependent on class size. While, Item (1) to (6) will require 4 or 4.5 hours to complete, dependent on class size.

About the Trainer

Charmaine is the Creative Director of Sky Digital Agency and The Good Designers

Being a web designer by training, she designs, consults and trains individuals in design, seo, digital marketing, digital strategy, and creative topics like Infographics.

She started training and equipping her clients in Facebook Marketing, SEO Marketing, Email Marketing, Infographics and Web Design topics since 2015. Till date, she has conducted more than 1,500 hours of training, and she is an ACTA Certified Trainer.

Charmaine is passionate about training, and helping others through training. She makes learning interactive, practical and fun. She enjoys breaking down complex topics to help participants gain better understanding and find success in the digital marketing campaigns with FREE digital tools available in the market for Entrepreneurs, Trainers, Business Owners, and SMEs to leverage on.

She strongly believes that the training industry needs more courses and training with smaller group of participants that allows them a more conducive environment to learn, ask questions, and have more 1-to-1 time with the trainer.

She has curated more than 15 digital marketing and creative infographics and design course curriculums in the last 2 years, and personally trains and teaches these subjects.

She strongly believes in paying it forward to the community will her knowledge and skill sets. Aside training the public and corporates, she also trains youth-at-risks (in collaboration with MSF) under The Good Designers.

1. Who can i contact should i have questions?

2. Is there a minimum class size to proceed?
Yes. We require a minimum class size of 4 people to proceed with the class.
In the event that there is insufficient participants, The Good Designers reserves the right to reschedule the class. Under such circumstances, we will inform you no later than 3 days before the event.

3. What are my transport options getting to the event?
6 Raffles Quay, #15-00, Singapore 048580
Nearest MRT: Raffles Place, take exit "i", we are just after/beside Ascott at Raffles Place.

4. I'm driving, where can I park?
There is parking space at the building 6 Raffles Quay itself at $2.50 per 30 min block.
For weekend classes, we recommend our participants to park at SGX Centre, at $3 per entry.
