Course Introduction

On a mission to equip individuals with Creative Skills, "Get SUPER creative with Adobe Photoshop" was one of the first workshops launched by The Good Designers in 2015.

If you would like to learn just the basics of Adobe Photoshop, but do not have the luxury of 2-days for the training, join The Good Designers for our 1-day Adobe Photoshop Workshop, $360/pax instead.

Till date, The Good Designers has equipped more than 800 individuals with a variation of creative skills, from Adobe Photoshop to Infographics Design for Social Media & Email Marketing, Beautify your PowerPoint with Infographics and Digital Storytelling & Video Marketing Skills!

This workshop is for individuals who would like to get started on designing in Adobe Photoshop. In 2 days, you will learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop and we'll be designing a name card, A5 flyer and Social Media Graphics!

Course Objectives

The 2-day course is curated to equip individuals on how to design in ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING DESIGN SOFTWARES available, and you'll be learning how to design in Adobe Photoshop with ACTUAL creative projects you have in mind!

During the 2-day course, learn how to design Professional Name Cards, A5 Marketing Flyers (with QR code, Shapes, Masking), Social Media Banners & Graphics and more!

For the second day of the course, you will learn how to design and setup the photoshop file document requirements for Social Media Banners (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc) and a 3-fold Brochure (Setup and Design Considerations).

Many of our participants join us for a 2-day workshop to work on their work and personal projects! Some just want to have an additional skill to add to their resumes! Some mommys also attend our photoshop classes ot learn how to super impose their kids face on disney and super hero characters as a birthday party invite for their kids!

If you have specific projects you hope to work on, do share them with us, and for requirements shared with us 2 to 3 weeks in advance, our trainer will be able to accomodate specific graphics you hope to design and guide you through on day 2 of the "Get Super Creative with Adobe Photoshop" class.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, you will learn how to design at least 3 to 4 design deliverables in Adobe Photoshop:

Day 1:
(a) 2 x Social Media Infographics (1080px by 1080px)
(b) 1 x Single-Sided A5 Flyer

Day 2:
(c) Social Media and/or Web Banners - Facebook Cover, LinkedIn and/or YouTube Channel Cover
(d) 3 fold Corporate Brochure These skills can be applied to advertising, sales and marketing collaterals.

Course Outline

Day 1 of the workshop:

1a) Learn how to setup canvas for specific design requirements based on mm, cm or pixels dimensions, i.e. Social Media is 1080px by 1080px while A5 is 148 mm (width) x 210mm (height)
1b) Introduction to Photoshop Interface, Layers & Essential Tools
>> Sharing of design resources: Image & Icon Resources
>> Learn how to get started with a Photoshop Canvas & Layers
1c) Learn how to design a Social Media Graphic (Trainer Demo)
>> Import Images & Crop an Item / Person
>> Colour Palette & Resources
>> Import Icons & Design/Layout as List Type/Category of Infographics (More examples on The Good Designers Instagram >>>

1d) Design your very own Social Media Graphic (90 min hands-on)
1e) Learn how to design an A5 Flyer / Post Card with QR code (Trainer Demo)
1f) Design your very own A5 Flyer (120 min hands-on)
1g) Saving your files for PRINT (High Resolution PDF or PNG formats, 150dpi or 300dpi)
1h) Learn how to save image files for web (72dpi)
1i) Question & Answer Time with Trainer

Day 2 of the workshop:
2a) Recap on Photoshop and its Interface
2b) Trainer to provide design feedback and tips on how you can improve on your A5 Flyer Design
2c) Learn to design for Social Media & Save files for Social Media
2d) Design Social Media Posts (Facebook Post / Instagram Post / LinkedIn Post)
2e) Design any design requirement you need that is smaller than A4. For A3 size, it depends on your computer's system specifications and whether your computer can support designing an A3 file in Adobe Photoshop.
2f) Consultation, Question and Answer with Trainer

Charmaine is the Chief Digital Marketing Officer at Sky Digital Agency and Chief Learning Officer The Good Designers

As a web designer by training, she designs, consults and trains individuals in design, seo, digital marketing, digital strategy, and creative topics like Photoshop, PowerPoint and Infographics Design.

She started training and equipping her clients in Facebook Marketing, Email Marketing, Infographics and HTML Coding & Web Design topics since 2015. Till date, she has conducted more than 2,000 hours of training, and she is a WSQ ACTA Certified Trainer.

Charmaine is passionate about training, and helping others through training. She makes learning interactive, practical and fun. She enjoys breaking down complex topics to help participants gain better understanding and find success in the digital marketing campaigns with FREE digital tools available in the market for Entrepreneurs, Trainers, Business Owners, and SMEs to leverage on.

Yes. For all our public run courses, we require a minimum class size of 4 people to proceed with the class.
